The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Spray Painter looking to work on something bigger?
Join Komatsu's specialist Remanufacturing team in Hemmant where you'll prepare and apply high-quality industrial coatings to major mining equipment components before they're returned to service.
Working in a modern workshop alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll play a key role in restoring components to OEM standards while enjoying stable Monday to Friday hours, overtime opportunities and genuine long-term career development with one of the world's leading equipment manufacturers.

Roster: Monday to Friday roster, 6:00am to 3:00pm. Possibility of a 7 on 7 off roster in future. Role Located: Hemmant, QLD
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing components through sanding, grinding, masking and surface cleaning.
- Mixing and applying primers, base coats and protective finishes.
- Operating and maintaining spray painting equipment.
- Inspecting finished work to ensure OEM quality standards.
- Safely handling paints, thinners and hazardous materials.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Contributing to Komatsu's strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Roster: Monday to Friday roster, 6:00am to 3:00pm.

About You / Requirements
- Trade qualification in Spray Painting, Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent.
- Experience spray painting heavy equipment, industrial products or commercial vehicles.
- Experience preparing surfaces and applying industrial coatings.
- Knowledge of paint systems and curing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Commitment to workplace safety and PPE requirements.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Current driver's licence.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Trade qualification in Spray Painting, Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent.
- Current driver's licence.
