Join a leading mining organisation undertaking a range of technology and operational improvement initiatives across its Queensland operations. As the business continues to modernise and optimise both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) environments, two experienced Solution Architects are required to support the delivery of critical programs and technology roadmaps.

Your New Role

As a Solution Architect, you will define and govern end-to-end technology solutions that support operational excellence, system integration, and digital transformation initiatives across mining operations.

While both IT and OT experience will be considered, candidates with strong Operational Technology (OT) architecture expertise will be highly regarded.

• Developing solution architectures aligned to business and operational requirements.
• Designing and integrating IT and OT technologies across complex environments.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders, project teams, vendors, and technical SMEs.
• Producing high-quality architecture artefacts, standards, and technical documentation.
• Ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, and operational needs.
• Providing architectural guidance throughout project delivery and implementation.
• Supporting technology roadmaps and future-state architecture planning.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong exposure to Operational Technology (OT) and/or industrial control systems.
• Experience working within mining, resources, manufacturing, energy, utilities, or other heavy industry environments.
• Demonstrated capability designing integrated IT/OT solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
• Experience across infrastructure, networks, applications, cloud, integration, and cybersecurity domains.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and supportable architecture designs.
• Experience working within project and transformation delivery environments.

Highly desirable:

• Mining technology exposure.
• Experience with SCADA, ICS, telemetry, industrial networks, plant systems, fleet management systems, or operational data platforms.
• Architecture certifications such as TOGAF or equivalent.

Please note: Candidates must be available to work onsite in Brisbane three days per week and must be onsite on either Monday or Friday each week. Experience within mining or heavy industry environments is essential, with OT architecture experience highly preferred.
