Monadelphous is currently seeking SMP & E&I Project Engineers to provide engineering services and project management support for a major construction project in QLD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost-effective engineering solutions for the project/contract and review project documentation, drawings and specifications, raising technical queries as required.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to Supervisors and project personnel involved in the execution of Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMP) and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) works.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling and coordinating construction activities to ensure project milestones and contractual obligations are achieved.
  • Manage project resources, subcontractors, materials and equipment to support the safe and efficient delivery of works.
  • Monitor construction progress, productivity and quality outcomes, identifying and resolving technical issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate inspection, testing and commissioning activities in line with project requirements.
  • Identify hazards and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with project HSE requirements and environmental standards.
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with quality assurance procedures, client specifications, Australian Standards and ISO requirements.

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience in SMP or E&I Project Engineering on large-scale resources, mining, energy, oil & gas or industrial construction projects.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery and engineering controls within either SMP or E&I scopes.
  • Experience managing technical queries, construction interfaces, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • A methodical approach, high attention to detail and accountability for the quality and accuracy of your work.
  • Delivery-focused mindset with the drive and initiative to support projects operating to demanding schedules.
  • Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the project team.
  • Commitment to a FIFO 2:1 roster during the construction phase of the project.
