About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced SMP Supervisor to join our mining operations team in a back-to-back supervisory role supporting ongoing maintenance and operational works onsite.

This position is offered as FIFO ex.Adelaide and is ideal for a strong leader who can step seamlessly into an established operation, maintain continuity between swings and drive safe, efficient outcomes across Structural, Mechanical & Piping activities.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will oversee daily SMP maintenance activities, coordinate crews and contractors, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day SMP maintenance and operational works.
• Coordinate labour, equipment and site activities.
• Ensure compliance with site safety standards and procedures.
• Lead pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety interactions.
• Monitor work quality, productivity and schedule performance.
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation.

About You

• Previous experience in an SMP Supervisory role within mining or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of maintenance and operational environments.
• Proven ability to lead crews in a safe and productive manner.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise competing operational demands.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Trade qualification highly regarded.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• White Card.
• Relevant BHP Olympic Dam experience (highly regarded).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
