SMP Superintendent

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a SMP SUPERINTENDENT to join our project delivery division, overseeing small-scale projects across various contracts. This role operates on a 2:1 FIFO or DIDO roster, depending on the project. As a permanent position, this opportunity offers a strong pipeline of work with considerable career growth prospects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all activities under your supervision. You will ensure these activities meet safety, health, environmental, design, quality, completion, and production targets. This role requires strong technical expertise in SMP disciplines.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Tertiary and/or Trade Qualification (preferably mechanical)
• Proven experience in Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) construction and/or commissioning for mining projects
• An unwavering commitment to safety and a team-first approach
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A solid understanding of relevant codes of practice
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
• The flexibility and resourcefulness to manage workload fluctuations in construction projects
