Monadelphous is seeking an experienced SMP Superintendent to join our Engineering Construction division, supporting the delivery of a major renewable energy wind farm project in Australia.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, this is a key site leadership role responsible for overseeing all Structural, Mechanical and Piping construction activities associated with wind turbine installation and balance of plant infrastructure across a large-scale, multi-discipline project. The position will be onsite on a 2:1 FIFO roster.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Lead, supervise and mentor SMP supervisors, tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
• Plan, schedule and coordinate SMP construction activities associated with wind turbine installation, turbine foundations, nacelle and tower erection, and balance of plant infrastructure
• Monitor progress against project schedules and proactively identify and mitigate risks to cost, schedule and quality
• Promote and drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all HSE policies, procedures and regulations
• Provide technical leadership across structural steel, mechanical installation and associated construction scopes
• Coordinate labour, materials, cranes, heavy lifting equipment and subcontractors to optimise project execution
• Oversee turbine assembly and installation activities, ensuring works are completed in accordance with OEM requirements, project specifications and quality standards
• Liaise with client representatives, OEMs, subcontractors and key stakeholders to provide updates, resolve issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Work collaboratively with Civil, Electrical and Commissioning teams to ensure integrated project delivery
• Support construction readiness, completions and handover activities to achieve project milestones

What you’ll bring:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Structural Steel, Rigging, Boilermaking or a related discipline
• Extensive experience in a Superintendent role on large-scale renewable energy, infrastructure, power generation or major construction projects
• Demonstrated experience managing structural and mechanical installation activities on wind farm, energy or heavy industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of wind turbine installation methodologies, heavy lift operations and construction sequencing
• Proven capability leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary site teams and subcontractors
• Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction contractors
• High-level planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and workforce wellbeing
• Strong understanding of quality requirements, completions processes and project execution practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management reporting systems
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proven ability to deliver construction projects safely, on time and to a high standard
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence
• Full Australian working rights
