Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Shutdown Coordinator to join our team on a major project supporting BHP operations in Port Hedland, WA. Working within our Engineering Construction division, you'll play a key role in coordinating the safe and efficient execution of shutdown activities across multidisciplinary work scopes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily shutdown execution activities across multiple work fronts.
  • Monitor progress against shutdown schedules and escalate issues as required.
  • Work closely with planners, supervisors and client representatives to ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors to support shutdown execution.
  • Facilitate daily pre-start meetings, progress meetings and shift handovers.
  • Identify and manage schedule risks, constraints and emerging issues during execution.
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, quality requirements and client procedures.
  • Support isolation planning, permit coordination and shutdown readiness activities.
  • Complete progress reporting and contribute to post-shutdown reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience as a Shutdown Coordinator within mining, heavy industry, oil & gas or industrial maintenance environments.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating major shutdowns for iron ore processing facilities or similar operations.
  • Strong understanding of shutdown execution, maintenance processes and multidisciplinary work coordination.
  • Experience working with Primavera P6 schedules and SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and work groups in a fast-paced shutdown environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound operational decisions under pressure.
  • Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline is highly regarded.
  • Current C Class Driver's License.
