Your new role
As a Short-Term Mine Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting daily and weekly production activities, ensuring plans are practical, achievable, and aligned with operational targets. This is a hands-on position working closely with operations to maintain production efficiency and respond to changing site conditions.
What you'll need to succeed
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
- 2–5 years’ experience in open cut mining (short-term or production-focused roles)
- Experience in mine planning and scheduling within a fast-paced operational environment
- Proficiency in Deswik (CAD and scheduling tools highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and mining methods
- Knowledge of QLD mining legislation and site safety standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with operations teams
- Ability to adapt quickly and solve problems in a dynamic site environment
