Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.

Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice, and Team Downer, which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for a SharePoint Administrator in Canberra /Sydney to work on a large Fleet Modernisation piece of work. This is a max-term employment until 30 June 2027.

What You’ll Do

• Administer and maintain on-premise SharePoint environments (2016/2019), including site collections, permissions, service applications, and workflows.
• Design and implement collaboration solutions, intranet portals, document management systems, and custom content types based on business needs.
• Lead infrastructure enhancement initiatives to improve the performance, scalability, and availability of SharePoint across a distributed system.
• Integrate SharePoint with enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, and file services.
• Support automation of administrative tasks using PowerShell and streamline content management workflows.
• Contribute to the standardization and templating of site deployments and user provisioning processes

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated experience in Defence as an ICT Technician.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, site administration, permission models, and service applications.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and SharePoint automation.
• Experience in a distributed ICT infrastructure environment with multi-site support requirements.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, IIS, Windows Server, and networking fundamentals as they relate to SharePoint.
• Demonstrated ability to take customer requirements, standards and frameworks and apply in a practical application to future proposed solution designs and systems.
• Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
