Our Group IT team is seeking an IT Service Desk Coordinator to join our Brisbane office in Milton. Reporting to the Team Leader – IT Service Desk, this role suits a professional, adaptable, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of a Service Desk team, including scheduling, workload allocation, and managing priorities to ensure reliable service delivery
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, acting as a key escalation point for more complex or sensitive issues
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business, understanding their needs and ensuring services are aligned to expectations
  • Work across internal teams to coordinate the timely progression and resolution of incidents and requests
  • Communicate clearly with customers and stakeholders, proactively managing expectations and providing updates on progress and outcomes
  • Support the ongoing improvement of Service Desk processes, contributing ideas and initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency

What you’ll bring:

  • Emerging leadership capability, with experience supporting or guiding a team in a service-driven environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with customers at all levels of the business
  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands
  • A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering positive service outcomes
  • Experience in IT support or a customer service environment (technical expertise is not the primary focus)
  • An interest in developing leadership and service management capability, including exposure to frameworks such as ITIL
