About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist to support our growing operations and play a key role in the ongoing development of our Contracts & Procurement function.
This role will primarily support operational procurement and contract lifecycle management across mining operations, processing, maintenance, site services, and operational support categories, while also supporting sustaining capital and growth projects as required.
The position is responsible for leading end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities, providing commercial and contractual support to stakeholders, and helping drive improvements in systems, governance, supplier engagement, and procurement processes.
This role will suit a commercially astute professional who enjoys operating in a hands-on environment, partnering closely with operational stakeholders, and helping shape a growing function within an evolving mining business.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Sourcing & Contracting

Lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities across operational categories including:
- Mining services
- Maintenance services
- Mobile and fixed plant support
- Site services and infrastructure
- Operational goods and consumables

Develop sourcing strategies aligned to operational requirements, business objectives, and risk profiles

Manage the full Source-to-Contract lifecycle including:
- Market engagement and tendering
- RFX development and execution
- Commercial evaluation and recommendation
- Contract negotiation and award
Contract Lifecycle Management

Support effective contract mobilisation, implementation, administration, and close-out processes

Work with contract owners and operational stakeholders to:
- Monitor supplier performance
- Resolve commercial and contractual issues
- Manage variations, extensions, and commercial claims

Support contract governance and compliance activities
Commercial & Contractual Advisory
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to operational and project stakeholders
- Assist with development of fit-for-purpose contracting models and pricing structures
- Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and supply chain risks
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships
- Support supplier engagement initiatives and long-term value delivery
- Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services, Finance, and Projects teams
Systems, Governance & Continuous Improvement

Support improvement of procurement systems, processes, and governance frameworks

Contribute to development and enhancement of:
- Procurement and contracting standards
- Templates and documentation
- Reporting and spend visibility tools

Assist with initiatives to improve procurement efficiency, compliance, and user experience
About You
You are an experienced contracts and procurement professional with strong operational procurement and commercial experience within mining, resources, or heavy industry environments.
Experience & Capability

Proven experience managing operational procurement and contracts within mining or industrial operations

Demonstrated capability managing:
- Tendering and sourcing activities
- Contract negotiations
- Supplier relationships and stakeholder engagement

Experience across operational services, maintenance, site support, or mining-related categories
Technical & Commercial Skills
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability
- Sound understanding of contract risk allocation and supplier management
- Ability to operate across both strategic and hands-on delivery activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
