About the Role
An experienced Safety Advisor is required to support ongoing site-based construction and sustaining capital activities within the Pilbara. Working 2/1 FIFO, this role will see you partnering closely with project, construction and contractor teams to drive strong safety outcomes and ensure compliance with legislative and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive, visible safety leadership across site operations
- Support and maintain compliance with WHS management systems
- Mentor and coach Safety Advisors and frontline leadership
- Conduct site inspections, audits and safety interactions
- Lead incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
- Review and verify JHAs, SWMS, risk assessments and permits to work
- Support critical risk management programs across high-risk activities
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings and workforce engagement
- Liaise with project teams and contractors to address safety risks
About You
- Demonstrated experience as a Safety Advisor in mining project construction, preferably with mega project experience.
- Strong working knowledge of WA WHS legislation
- Proven ability to influence site leadership and workforce behaviour
- Practical, solutions-focused approach to safety
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- EPCM & Client Side experience
- Strong tenure
- All applicants must have permanent residency or citizenship within Australia.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
- Diploma in WHS (highly regarded)
- Incident investigation training (ICAM or equivalent preferred)
- White Card
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Ability to pass site medical and inductions
