Our Tier 1 Mining Client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer - Wind Installation to join a major large-scale renewable energy project in Western Australia
Roster: 5/2 Perth CBD then moving to a 2/1 site roster
Start date: End Sept
Duration: approx. 12 months - with potential to extend
Pay Rate: $100.00 p/h + Super depending on experience

About the Role
Reporting to the Wind Installation Package Manager, you will support the engineering and delivery of the wind installation package, working closely with engineering, project, procurement, suppliers and contractors.
You will be involved across the project lifecycle, with a particular focus on major equipment, installation contracts, technical evaluation, supplier management and package delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support supplier prequalification, bid evaluation and contract negotiations in line with project schedules and budgets.
- Support the technical and commercial procurement of wind turbine installation equipment, including self-erecting systems and installation cranes.
- Assist with tendering and delivery of wind turbine installation contracts.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, project, supplier and contractor teams to ensure technical and project requirements are met.
- Monitor and report on manufacturing and installation progress, quality, delivery milestones and project requirements.
- Support the development and coordination of project deliverables to improve design maturity, schedule accuracy and cost definition.
- Provide engineering and package management support throughout installation and commissioning activities.
Required Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years' experience across energy and/or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in package and/or project engineering involving major equipment and/or EPC contracts.
- Experience with wind turbine technology, installation and interfaces will be highly regarded.
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of contract management principles and standards.
- Strong capability in technical evaluation, stakeholder coordination and supplier management.
- The ability to work effectively across engineering, project, contractor and supplier teams.
- A genuine interest in renewable energy and emerging installation technologies.
