We are now looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Civil) to join our team on a FIFO basis, supporting the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Engineer (Civil), you will provide technical leadership across all civil and structural construction activities on-site. You’ll play a critical role in driving safety, quality, cost, and schedule outcomes, while supporting the successful delivery of complex and environmentally significant infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on FIFO role, working closely with site and project teams in a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide civil and structural construction activities across the full project lifecycle
- Manage engineering deliverables, including ITPs, work packs, hold/witness points, and QA documentation
- Collaborate closely with design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Oversee material take-offs, procurement planning, scheduling inputs, and cost reporting
- Monitor scope, cost impacts, schedule risks, and identify opportunities for optimisation
- Support commissioning activities and ensure smooth project completion and handover
- Maintain accurate project records and contribute to strong document control practices
- Mentor and support Project Engineers and Junior Engineers on-site
- Drive a strong safety-first culture across all activities
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in civil engineering and construction, ideally within large-scale infrastructure, resources, or energy projects
- Proven experience managing subcontractors on complex construction projects
- Strong understanding of AS9001 Quality Systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in a FIFO environment and thrive in a fast-paced site-based role
- Current driver’s licence
