Description & Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join Monadelphous PNG Operations team until mid-2028, based in the Brisbane office until December then on site in Papua New Guinea on a FIFO 4:4 roster.

This high paced position will provide technical expertise across project management, estimating, procurement, contractual correspondence, quality assurance, and internal/external stakeholder management for a program of works.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex engineering projects through to commissioning and handover.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation activities to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Develop and execute commissioning strategies, plans, and schedules to support successful project delivery.
• Work closely with client representatives and deliver to meet their requirements
• Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules and contract
• Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required

What you will bring:

• 5+ years experience working in an on-site project engineering or coordination position for large-scale resources oil and gas projects.
• An Australian recognised, tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Trade Certificate.
• Front end commissioning experience working within bid, tender, shutdown, and project environments, with exposure to planning, execution, testing, and handover activities.
• Strong written and technical skills, with an innovative approach to technical problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
• A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
• Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
