About the Role

NPI (Mining Infrastructure) 12-Month Contract | 2:1 FIFO | Cairns or Brisbane Point of Hire

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a major greenfield mining development in Far North Queensland. Located approximately north of Cairns, this large-scale project is progressing through development and construction, offering the opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) works that will support long-term site operations.

Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you will oversee the delivery of key infrastructure packages including accommodation villages, camp facilities, roads, drainage, utilities, water management systems and supporting civil infrastructure.

The Role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of NPI construction works, ensuring quality, schedule and budget objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the delivery of NPI construction packages from planning through to completion
Coordinate contractors and site-based project teams
Drive safety, quality and environmental compliance across all activities
Monitor project schedules, costs and performance
Resolve technical and construction challenges
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes

About You

Degree-qualified Civil Engineer or related engineering discipline
8+ years' project engineering experience within mining or major infrastructure projects
Significant experience delivering NPI works in a mining environment
Proven background with accommodation camps, site facilities, utilities and supporting infrastructure
Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving abilities
Passionate, proactive and delivery-focused
