About the Role

Downer’s Transport & Infrastructure business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join our Queensland Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating construction and project delivery activities across a portfolio of ITS, electrical and infrastructure projects.

This is an opportunity to work within a high-performing team, driving project outcomes, supporting operational excellence and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site construction and project management activities across allocated projects.
• Support the successful delivery of projects to scope, schedule, quality and budget requirements.
• Assist with planning, forecasting, cost control and project reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Monitor project risks, opportunities and program performance.
• Support contractual administration, including claims and variations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and project teams.
• Drive productivity improvements and continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery.
• Champion Downer's Zero Harm culture through safety leadership, inspections and workforce engagement.
• Ensure compliance with project governance, quality systems and operational processes.

About You / Requirements

• Experience in project coordination, project management or construction delivery within Civil, ITS, Electrical or related infrastructure environments.
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification (preferred).
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Experience managing subcontractors and stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledge of contractual administration, claims and variations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification (preferred)
