The role of a Senior Payroll Coordinator will see you working from our Victoria Park head office and be part of an established team! This opportunity has become available due to the continued growth and success of our business. As a Senior Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and compliance, while partnering with key internal stakeholders to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and validate weekly and fortnightly payrolls for both Australian and international employees.
• Ensure compliance with taxation, superannuation, portable long service leave, and employment legislation.
• Partner closely with Human Resources and Industrial Relations teams to facilitate accurate employee payments.
• Manage and maintain compliance with Single Touch Payroll (STP), MyLeave, Centrelink reporting, Payday Super, and external redundancy portal requirements.
• Calculate and process back payments, termination payments, and other payroll adjustments.
• Interpret and apply EBAs, awards, overtime provisions, and allowances.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

• Previous payroll experience within a large, complex organisation processing high-volume payrolls. (Ascender knowledge will be highly desirable)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience interpreting multiple EBAs and complex pay conditions.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
