A well-established copper-gold mining operation in North Queensland is seeking a Senior Mine Geologist to join their team. Operating a large-scale underground mining project with significant regional opportunities, the company is focused on identifying and advancing new copper-gold discoveries across a highly prospective mineral province.

About the Role

The Senior Mine Geologist is responsible for leading and coordinating underground mine geology activities to support safe, efficient and profitable mining operations. The role provides technical direction for ore control, geological modelling, grade control and reconciliation while ensuring geological data integrity and alignment with operational and strategic mine plans.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in underground hard rock mining operations.
• Strong ore control and underground production geology experience.
• Experience with geological modelling and mine geology software packages.
• Sound understanding of grade control, reconciliation and QA/QC practices.
• Ability to interpret complex geological structures and mineralised systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Ability to work effectively in remote mining environments and roster-based operations.
