Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering team delivering major mineral processing and capital projects. This position will play a key role in the development and delivery of mechanical engineering designs, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

Working within a collaborative EPCM environment, you will provide technical leadership, interface with clients, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex engineering solutions across the resources sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical design input for the development of mechanical engineering deliverables and drawings.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of engineering outputs produced by the discipline team.
• Develop and review engineering designs to meet project, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and key stakeholders.
• Support project delivery through sound engineering and problem-solving expertise.

About You / Requirements

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
• Extensive EPCM experience within mineral processing plants or similar capital projects.
• Strong piping design and engineering experience highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Sound understanding of contract management and project controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
