Senior Mechanical Designer

Senior Mechanical Designer – Sustaining Capital Projects Join a leading engineering and project delivery team supporting major industrial and resources sector operations across Western Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to join a high-performing Sustaining Capital Projects team delivering brownfield and greenfield upgrades across fixed plant environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while collaborating closely with experienced engineers and designers.
About the Role Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be part of a collaborative team of designers responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across a range of sustaining capital projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D mechanical design deliverables for industrial projects.
• Produce detailed layouts, equipment arrangements and design documentation.
• Support projects involving:
  • Pumping stations
  • Storage tanks
  • Conveyor systems
  • Fixed plant infrastructure
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure coordinated project outcomes.
• Contribute to design reviews, constructability assessments and project delivery activities.

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Extensive experience as a Mechanical Designer within mining, resources, industrial or infrastructure environments.
• Strong proficiency with MicroStation and associated 3D design tools.
• Experience producing both 2D and 3D design deliverables.
• Background in mechanical and piping design, particularly within fixed plant operations.
• Exposure to sustaining capital, brownfield or operational improvement projects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
