About the Role
Instrument & Control Engineer | Major Renewable Energy Commissioning Project. Are you an experienced Instrument & Control Engineer looking to play a key role in one of Western Australia's most innovative energy projects? We are seeking a site-based I&C professional to support the commissioning and performance testing of a large-scale renewable energy and industrial processing facility in the Pilbara. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of renewable power generation, energy management systems, and hydrogen production technology.
Working within the owner's team, you will support the commissioning contractor and wider project team during a critical phase of the project lifecycle. You'll be responsible for ensuring instrumentation, control systems, process equipment, and integrated plant systems operate safely and effectively as the facility progresses through commissioning and performance testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support commissioning and start-up activities across plant and process systems.
- Assist with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.
- Work closely with commissioning teams, operations personnel, and contractors.
- Monitor system performance and identify issues before they impact plant operations.
- Contribute to documentation reviews, defect resolution, and performance testing activities.
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of integrated process, power, and control systems.
About You
We're interested in speaking with engineers who can demonstrate:
- Strong Instrumentation & Control engineering experience.
- Previous commissioning experience on industrial or process facilities.
- Exposure to Integrated Control Systems (ICS/DCS).
- Experience within power generation, energy, utilities, oil & gas, mining, minerals processing, or similar heavy industry environments.
- An understanding of the interface between control systems and electrical infrastructure would be highly regarded.
- Experience with energy management systems or advanced process control environments is advantageous.
