About the Role
Our Tier 1 Mining Client is looking for an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join their Projects Engineering team supporting a portfolio of operating assets and major projects.
Roster: 5/2 Perth CBD Location Start date: Early August 2026 Duration: approx. 12 months - depending on client requirements Pay Rate: $90 - $110 p/h + Super depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Lead hydrogeological investigations and groundwater assessments to support project development and operational requirements.
- Deliver water supply investigations, sustainable yield assessments and groundwater impact studies.
- Plan and manage drilling programs, including production and monitoring bore installation, aquifer testing and groundwater monitoring activities.
- Assess groundwater abstraction impacts and groundwater reinjection opportunities.
- Support the design and optimisation of water supply systems, borefields and wastewater disposal solutions.
- Analyse and manage hydrogeological datasets and provide technical interpretation and recommendations.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications and documentation to support regulatory approvals and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project engineers, environmental teams, consultants and contractors.
- Contribute to permitting, licensing and approvals processes across relevant jurisdictions.
Required Experience
- Degree qualified in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in hydrogeology and/or water resource management.
- Strong experience delivering hydrogeological investigations and groundwater assessments within mining, energy, infrastructure or consulting environments.
- Experience managing drilling programs, aquifer testing and groundwater monitoring activities.
- Proficiency with GIS software is essential.
- Experience with groundwater modelling software such as MODFLOW, Leapfrog or equivalent will be highly regarded.
- Excellent technical reporting and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Australian water licensing, permitting and regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
- Full Australian working rights are required.
