We’ve got the rocks covered but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join the team based at our Tritton Operation as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer.

The Nitty Gritty

Join Tritton Operations as our Senior Geotechnical Engineer and lead the geotechnical strategy that underpins safe, productive underground mining. This influential role combines technical expertise, operational support, and people leadership, driving ground control standards, risk management, design optimisation, and continuous improvement across the operation. Working closely with site leadership and technical teams, you will play a key role in ensuring geotechnical risks are effectively managed while supporting the delivery of production and development objectives.

What you Bring:

  • Tertiary qualified Geotechnical Engineer, Geologist, Mining Engineer, or Civil Engineer
  • Practical knowledge of geotechnical rock mechanics, soil mechanics, rock mass rating systems, geotechnical modelling, slope design and ground support design.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role in an underground metalliferous mine
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Competent user of relevant mining software (Deswik, rock mecahnics modelling software, Microsoft Office)
  • Experience in underground mining methods
  • Remnant mining experience
  • Experience in backfilling methods such as cemented rock fill (CRF) and paste fill as well as practical knowledge of backfill instrumentation.

The Company

Tritton Operations

Tritton Copper Operations is a long-life copper mine located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales. Commencing production in 2005, Tritton is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and forms the cornerstone of our copper production.

Tritton mines from multiple sources and as we look to bring more mines into production, we are are transitioning to a ‘hub-and-spoke’ model where ore is transported to our centralised mill for processing.
