A well-established gold mining operation in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Field Assistant to support ongoing exploration and resource growth programs. Working within a high-performing exploration team, you'll play a key role in the safe and efficient execution of drilling and field activities.

About the Role

As a Senior Field Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting RC and diamond drilling programs
• Supervising and mentoring junior Field Assistants
• Coordinating drill pad preparation and rehabilitation activities
• Managing sample collection, logging, handling and dispatch
• Assisting with core processing and storage
• Conducting field mapping and data collection activities
• Maintaining exploration equipment, vehicles and field supplies
• Liaising with drilling contractors and site personnel
• Ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with safety standards and procedures

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a Senior Field Assistant or similar exploration support role
• Strong understanding of RC and diamond drilling operations
• Experience supervising field crews and contractors
• Knowledge of sample management and QA/QC processes
• Current manual driver's licence
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote FIFO environment
• Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
