Senior Exploration Geologist

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to join a growing exploration company with a significant Australian project portfolio. Based in Perth, with regular site visits, you will be reporting to the Exploration Manager, this role will play a key part in planning, managing and executing exploration programs in Western Australia.

About the Role

Based in Perth with regular site visits, you will report to the Exploration Manager. This hands-on leadership role will drive exploration strategy, generate and prioritise targets, oversee drilling and field programs, and mentor a team of geologists and field personnel. You will influence exploration outcomes while collaborating with senior management and stakeholders through exploration and project development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of exploration program
• Interpret geological, geochemical, geophysical and drilling data to generate exploration targets
• Manage exploration budgets, schedules and contractor performance
• Mentor and develop geologists and field teams
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, heritage and statutory requirements
• Contribute to technical reporting, presentations and strategic planning
• Manage tenement reporting obligations and maintain good standing across project areas

About You

• Degree qualified Geologist
• Previous experience in a senior role managing junior engineers and field personnel
• Previous experience in a Senior Exploration Geologist position
• Strong background in mineral exploration with more than 10 years' experience
• Proven capability in target generation, exploration planning and data interpretation
• Experience using Micromine, ArcGIS Pro (or QGIS) and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong leadership, mentoring and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Current Australian driver's licence
