The Opportunity
Join a major industrial operations environment delivering brownfield and greenfield electrical engineering projects across heavy industry assets.
This role will suit a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong technical assurance, vendor interface and project delivery experience across HV/LV power systems, substations, MCCs and industrial electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review electrical designs, drawings and technical deliverables for brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Review SLDs, protection schematics, cable schedules, MCCs, switchboards, earthing and power distribution layouts.
- Manage vendor, contractor and engineering consultant interfaces.
- Develop scopes of work, technical specifications, datasheets and procurement documentation.
- Support tender evaluations, technical bid assessments and recommendation reports.
- Provide engineering input across concept, detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Support HAZOPs, risk reviews, constructability reviews, FATs, SATs and commissioning activities.
- Drive safe design, compliance, reliability improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8–10+ years’ experience across mining, minerals processing, heavy industry, power generation, oil and gas or industrial manufacturing.
- Strong HV/LV power systems, substations, MCCs and industrial infrastructure experience.
- Proven design review, technical assurance and drawing approval capability.
- Experience preparing scopes of work, specifications and procurement packages.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical design practices.
- Excellent stakeholder, vendor and consultant management skills.
- Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
