Job Description

About the Company

MPI is partnering with a leading ASX-listed gold producer undergoing significant growth and transformation across its major projects function. With a pipeline of brownfields expansions and a major greenfields development, the business is continuing to invest in the systems, people and processes required to support its next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

If you're a Document Control professional looking to move beyond maintaining established systems and processes, this is a rare opportunity to create and embed a best-practice document control function from the ground up.

Joining a newly established Major Projects team, you will be the subject matter expert responsible for developing the frameworks, governance, workflows and systems that will underpin project delivery as the function continues to scale. This is a standalone role with genuine autonomy, allowing you to identify gaps, implement practical solutions and influence how document control is managed across multiple projects.

You'll take ownership of document control standards, governance structures, naming conventions, workflows and system administration, ensuring robust processes are established and adopted consistently across the team. As the function grows, you'll also play a key role in training and supporting project stakeholders, helping to drive compliance and continuous improvement.

About the Business

Our client is a well-established Australian gold producer with a strong operational footprint and an exciting growth pipeline. With a dedicated Major Projects team continuing to expand, they are investing heavily in both sustaining operations and future development projects, creating a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a lasting impact and help shape the foundations of a growing function.

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Proven experience implementing document control frameworks, systems, workflows or governance processes from inception through to successful adoption
  • Demonstrated experience in document control within a project delivery environment
  • Ideally 5-10 years' experience supporting major projects within mining, resources, infrastructure or related industries
  • Strong understanding of document management principles, standards and compliance requirements
  • Experience with platforms such as SharePoint, Omega 365, PIMMS or similar document management systems
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to thrive in an evolving environment.

Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of a critical function and establish the systems and processes that will support a growing major projects portfolio into the future.
