The Role
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Cost Controller to join our Projects Division working from our Perth CBD Head Office. In this permanent full time role, you will be responsible for:
- Setting up and maintaining cost budgets for projects based on tender submissions, variations and contract value updates
- Reviewing cost commitments, ensure accurate cost coding, and deliver monthly forecasts and contract status reports
- Preparation of internal and client invoicing maintaining all cost commitments, including review of internal and third party costs
- Review of requisitions and commitments for compliance to project cost coding
- Provide cost control support across major projects while mentoring and supporting the team
What You will Need
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role, with the ability to demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role
- Tertiary qualification in quantity surveying, engineering, law, project management, finance/accounting, business studies or related discipline
- Understanding and application of project cost management principles
- Demonstrated ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment
- Advanced computer literacy including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and reporting systems like Pronto, Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Office suite
- Experience working for a construction contractor in the mining/resources industry is highly desirable
