Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Team. Reporting to the Civil / Structural Discipline Manager, you will be required to work across a continuous succession of projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operations.

This role will be based at our Osborne Park head office until September 2026 when we will relocate to our new Head Office on St Georges Tce, Perth. Adjacent to the train station, the City office has state of the art end of journey facilities, including secure storage for bicycles and scooters, a gym, tennis court, basketball hoop and a swimming pool available for all Primero employees.

Your Key Responsibilities

•     Deliver civil engineering design solutions for mining, mineral processing and resource sector projects.

•     Ensure compliance of design products with the Design Procedure.

•     Produce and ensure design products comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party and project requirements.

•     Take ownership of technical compliance and quality of civil engineering deliverables.

•     Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to achieve integrated project outcomes.

•     Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.

•     Engage with clients, vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support project execution.

•     Ensure design products are delivered in accordance with the project budget and schedule.

•     Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects including, cost, constructability, operability and maintainability.

What You ‘Can Do’

•     Bachelor of Civil Engineering (recognised by IEAust).

•     6+ years’ civil engineering experience in the mining/mineral processing or resource sector.

•     Strong technical knowledge of Civil Engineering Design including earthworks, roads, drainage, hardstands, and site infrastructure.

•     Demonstrated experience delivering Civil Engineering packages through feasibility, detailed design and construction support phases.

•     Thorough understanding and practical application of relevant Australian Standards, Industry Codes, and Engineering best practices.

•     Ability to interpret client specific requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.

•     Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices.

•     Experience with development of technical engineering documents, drawings, schedules, and models.

•     Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD, with the ability to review and guide civil design outputs.

•     A team player with the ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplined project teams.

•     Site experience during construction is advantageous. 

•     Demonstrated planning and organisation skills.

•     Strong verbal and written communication skills.
