About the role:
The Technology Operations team is currently seeking a Senior Analyst – AHS Technology Operations Centre to join them on a 7/7 days and nights roster based at Perth within the Remote Operations Centre (ROC). Reporting to the Supervisor Technology Operations Centre (TOC), you will be responsible for providing advanced operational support, analysis and incident coordination for the Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) at Hancock Iron Ore, including the Traffic Management System (TMS), Fleet Management System (FMS), and Autonomy Interface Service (WAIS).
This role acts as the primary operational escalation point within the TOC for AHS-related incidents, accountable for advanced troubleshooting, incident coordination, proactive monitoring and service reliability across the AHS environment within a 24/7 operational model.
This position provides real-time support to operations personnel, leads technical investigation of complex incidents, performs advanced diagnostics, and collaborates with the Application Specialist (L2) and engineering teams to restore service while maintaining consistent communication with all stakeholders throughout incident resolution.
Duties:
- Act as first point of contact for AHS incidents from operational teams, system generated alerts, and monitoring systems, performing initial assessment, triage and logging in ServiceNow
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and technical investigation of AHS application systems, resolving incidents where possible and coordinating escalation where specialist intervention is required
- Monitor AHS system dashboards and health indicators for proactive identification of system performance issues, emerging trends and potential service degradation
- Coordinate and lead technical response for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents, ensuring timely escalation to Application Specialists and relevant technology teams
- Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders during incident resolution, providing technical updates and coordinating response across multiple support teams
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to TOC Analysts, supporting capability uplift and consistent support practices
- Contribute to knowledge base by documenting solutions to resolved incidents and developing support documentation and standard operating procedures
- Provide real-time guidance and coaching to ROC operators on AHS system usage, functionality and standard procedures.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in operational technology support, OT service operations or industrial automation environments
- Experience supporting AHS or FMS
- Extensive experience troubleshooting complex operational technology or application systems in mission-critical environments
- Experience in 24/7 operational environments (mining, processing, manufacturing, defence, or similar industries)
- Previous exposure to incident management systems (ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms)
