Senior Advisor - Injury Management

About the Role

As a Senior Injury Management Advisor, you will report to the Injury Management Specialist and oversee the facilitation of the business’s injury management and pre-employment medical processes. You will manage a diverse portfolio of injuries and illnesses and be responsible for the effective management of workers compensation claims, early intervention cases, as well as non-work-related and fitness-for-work cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage workers compensation (WC), early intervention, and non-work-related cases across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor and support compliance with IM requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to Injury Management Advisors.
• Provide technical advice, recommendations and regular updates to key stakeholders.
• Oversee and facilitate management of complex claims, including liaising with insurers and attending quarterly claim reviews.
• Develop Return to Work and fitness-for-work plans in line with medical advice and stakeholder consultation.
• Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate processing of WC and IP payments.
• Facilitate fitness for work assessments.
• Facilitate fitness-for-work assessments and review pre-employment medicals, including oversight of external providers.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and manage the injury management database (Solv Injury).

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 5 years IM and WC experience within mining or similar industry
• Strong knowlege of WC legisltation across multiple jurisdictions (ideally, WA, NSW, SA & OLD)
• Allied health qualification
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong prioritisation and task management skills in a fast-paced operational environement.

• Roster: 5:2/Monday to Friday
