Safety Advisor

About the Role

We are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join a high-performing site team on a large-scale construction project.

This is a hands-on role working closely with supervisors and contractors, supporting daily HSE activities and driving a strong safety culture across site.

Ideal for someone looking to step into or develop within a Tier 1 project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation of HSE systems, procedures, and policies
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard identification
• Assist with incident investigations and reporting
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings
• Monitor compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Maintain HSE documentation and reporting
• Promote a positive and proactive safety culture

What You’ll Need (Must Haves)

• Minimum 1 year experience in construction, mining, oil & gas, or similar
• Strong understanding of WHS principles and legislation
• Current driver’s licence
• Ability to work FIFO in a remote environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail

Highly Regarded (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to HSE roles or safety systems
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 / AS4801
• ICAM or similar investigation training
• Cert IV in Training, Leadership, or Safety-related discipline
• Experience with safety systems or reporting tools
