The Role:

We are currently seeking experienced Geotechnical Rope Access Technicians to join our Mining – Geotechnical team. These are casual positions offering FIFO arrangements with flexible rosters, operating on day shift only.

In this role, you will utilise specialised rope access techniques and equipment to safely access and perform geotechnical tasks in challenging and remote mining environments. You will be working as part of a skilled team, supporting ground stability assessments, inspections, and remediation works while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Conduct rope access works, ensuring projects run smoothly and according to scope
•    Rope access equipment inspections and pre-use checks
•    Installation of ground support anchors, mesh and accessories
•    Scaling via Rope Access
•    Grouting/Concreting/ Shotcreting
•    Implement testing where required/requested
•    Liaising with the Site Manager/Supervisor regarding any issues
•    Operating equipment such as pneumatic drills & telehandlers
•    Maintaining all equipment

The successful applicant will have:

•    Rope Access Level 1, 2 or 3 IRATA Certification
•    Geotechnical experience
•    C Class Drivers Licence (Manual)
•    First Aid & CPR Certification
•    Work Safely at Heights Certification
•    Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
•    A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
•    Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
•    Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance

Desirables:

•    Rigging License
