Our Opportunity
Work Location: Cloudbreak – located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples
Roster: 14D/14R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra
Cloudbreak is seeking a Roller Technician to maintain, replace and align conveyor rollers (idlers), ensuring safe and efficient operation of conveyor systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain and replace conveyor rollers (idler sets)
- Identify and rectify seized, damaged or misaligned rollers
- Maintain roller frames, stands and associated components
- Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor roller systems
- Support shutdown and breakdown works focused on rollers
- Monitor conveyor performance and identify roller-related faults
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and site procedures
- Work closely with maintenance teams to optimise reliability
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification (or similar experience)
- Proven experience with conveyor rollers and idler systems
- Strong fault-finding skills on rotating equipment
- Experience in mining or heavy industry environments
- Understanding of conveyor systems (roller-focused)
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
