The Role

Civmec is seeking experienced Advanced and Intermediate Riggers to join our Construction team on our newly awarded Pilgangoora Project with PLS. We have immediate-start opportunities on a 2:1 roster, working as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team delivering a major construction project in the Pilbara, WA.

Key Responsibilities

• Steel Erection
• Perform dual lifts and mathematical assessment
• Assist with lift plans and lifting activities.
• Align level and anchor machinery.
• Maintain and tag rigging gear as required.
• Ensure rigging gear is stored correctly.
• Attach appropriately rated rigging gear to existing structures to facilitate the movement of loads using chain blocks, pulleys, tirfors and lever hoists.
• Maintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition. Lock them away or return to store when not required.
• Perform other general duties as required

About You / Requirements

• Current High Risk Rigging licence (RI and RA) and VOC
• Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
• Current High risk elevating work platform license (EWP) and VOC
• Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
• Previous experience on construction projects (Steel erection experience preferred)
• Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
