About the Role

MECANICIAN-OPERATOR CENTRE ENERGÉTIQUE (Energy Centre Operator/Mechanic)

(1 POSTE PERMANENT SYNDIQUÉ) Service: Concentrator, Energy and Automation | Location: Site minier Reference: REQ26-137

Under the supervision of the Energy Centre supervisor, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the main and satellite energy centres. Your key duties include:

  • Perform daily and preventive maintenance on energy centre equipment
  • Operate and monitor energy production equipment and the electrical distribution network
  • Control all operational parameters to ensure reliable energy production for all sites
  • Make rapid operational decisions and take corrective actions
  • Commit to health and safety and comply with Mine Raglan standards

Profile Sought

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Marine Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related discipline, plus three (3) years of relevant experience; other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of diesel generator sets similar to MAN Diesel 9L32, EMD 710 and CAT 3500
  • Good knowledge of boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, high-voltage electrical distribution systems and PLC control will be a major asset
  • Valid driving licence
