About the Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Fixed Plant Reliability Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team at a long-life mine.

This role is suited to a proactive reliability professional who enjoys working closely with operations and maintenance to drive asset performance, reduce downtime, and embed best-practice reliability strategies across fixed plant infrastructure.

• Develop and implement reliability strategies for fixed plant assets (processing plant, crushing, conveying, materials handling, etc.)
• Analyse asset performance using reliability tools (RCA, FMEA, Weibull, failure analysis)
• Identify and deliver improvement initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime and maintenance costs
• Support condition monitoring programs and maintenance optimisation
• Collaborate with maintenance, planning, and operational teams to improve equipment availability and life cycle performance
• Provide technical guidance and reliability expertise to site stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• Proven experience in a reliability or asset engineering role within mining or heavy industry
• Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment and maintenance strategies
• Practical experience with reliability engineering methodologies and CMMS systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams
• Safety-focused with a continuous improvement mindset
