Your new role

We are currently seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician for short-term coverage on the following dates:

  • 26th May 2026 - 2nd June 2026

This position supports a key mining operation in Far North Queensland and is offered as a FIFO role from Cairns, Townsville, or Brisbane . This is a coverage role, you will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on air-conditioning units, compressors, and other refrigeration systems, including installation, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification
  • BSA Contractor Licence - Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services
  • Refrigerant Handling Licence (RAC)
  • Restricted Electrical Licence.
  • Valid Australian HR Driver's Licence
  • LV Rescue & CPR qualified
  • Proven experience as a refrigeration technician, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
