About Us

We're Perth's fast growing recruitment agency specialising in WA's mining & resources industry. We place top talent with major miners, tier-1 contractors, and operators across underground hard rock (gold, nickel, lithium) and surface/open pit projects (iron ore, gold, etc.) – all FIFO ex-Perth. We're expanding our specialist desk and need a recruiter to own Underground & Surface placements, capitalising on the massive demand in both environments.

The Role

Being an expert for end-to-end recruitment in underground and surface mining. You'll build pipelines, win briefs, and fill high-volume, high-value roles that keep production humming – from development to haulage.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust candidate networks for underground AND surface talent
  • Secure and deliver on client briefs from majors, mid-tiers, and contractors in WA
  • Full-cycle recruiting: sourcing (LinkedIn, Seek, referrals, events), screening, interviews, refs, offers, placements
  • Exceed billing targets through contingency, exclusive, and retained work
  • Monitor market trends: rosters, safety regs, skills shortages in UG & surface ops
  • Grow the underground & surface vertical – position the agency as go-to in this space
  • Collaborate with the team to elevate our brand in Perth's resources scene

What you'll be recruiting for (your core roles):

  • Underground: Production Operators (Boggers, Jumbo/Charge Up/Shotfirers, Truck Operators, Nippers, Service Crew), Drill & Blast Teams, Production Supervisors/Shift Bosses, Underground Production Engineers, Geotech/Ventilation (production-focused)
  • Surface/Open Pit: Haul Truck/Dump Truck Operators, Excavator/Loader Operators, Drill Operators/Blasters, Dozer/Grader Operators, Production Supervisors/Foremen, Open Pit Engineers/Planners, Pit Techs
  • Crossover/leadership: Mining Superintendents, Shift Supervisors, statutory roles supporting both environments

About You

  • Proven recruiting experience in mining/resources – underground and/or surface focus (2+ years preferred, broader network = bigger OTE)
  • Solid WA connections: candidates + clients in underground hard rock and surface/open pit ops
  • Hunter mentality: proactive sourcing, networking, cold outreach
  • Knowledge of FIFO rosters, safety standards, and production workflows in both UG & surface
  • Resilient, target-oriented, commission-motivated
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship skills
  • WA driver's licence + full Australian work rights
