About the Role

This senior position will lead key project readiness and compliance workstreams, ensuring approvals, tenure, land access, governance and broader compliance requirements are effectively integrated into project planning and execution.

You will work across project and functional teams to drive planning, resourcing, risk management and compliance, providing project leadership with clear visibility of readiness and potential delivery risks.

Roster: 5/2 Perth CBD

Start date: ASAP

Duration: approx. 6 months - depending on client requirements

Pay Rate: $100.00 p/h + Super depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and integrate approvals, tenure, land access and compliance requirements into the project master schedule
  • Drive planning and delivery requirements under established project governance and readiness frameworks
  • Identify dependencies and interfacing workstreams and drive schedule recovery where required to protect project timelines
  • Establish and manage budgets, FTE forecasts and cost commitments for project compliance activities
  • Review approvals and access strategies, regulatory pathways, conditions and obligations to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Coordinate the information required by supporting functions and ensure it is supplied in line with project requirements
  • Ensure compliance requirements are clearly defined and embedded within project scopes, plans and work packages
  • Identify, assess and actively manage project readiness and compliance risks
  • Escalate emerging risks and drive effective mitigation strategies to maintain project certainty
  • Maintain strong governance, compliance and reporting disciplines
  • Provide project leadership with clear visibility of readiness, compliance obligations, risks and performance
  • Build effective relationships across multidisciplinary project and functional teams

Relevant Experience / About You

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Law, Engineering, Environment or a similar field
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience within the mining sector
  • Significant experience across project management, risk management, approvals management and compliance
  • Experience operating within an infrastructure project delivery environment
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and standards
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, compliance and risk frameworks
  • Proficiency using enterprise compliance management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing workstreams, dependencies and project risks
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
