RC Rig Geologist
MPI Recruitment
Job Description
Hands-on contract role on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, working day shift only and flying Friday to Friday. You'll be joining an active drilling campaign with a clear scope of work, a defined contract period, and a site team that values practical geological input.
You'll oversee RC drilling activities, maintain high sampling and logging standards, and ensure quality geological data is collected and delivered to support mine planning and production. The work is straightforward, technically focused, and suits someone who enjoys being close to the action rather than removed from it.
This contract is expected to run for approximately 3 months and would suit a geologist looking for a focused FIFO opportunity with a predictable roster, quality technical work, and the chance to make an immediate contribution.
If you're looking for your next geology contract and enjoy spending your time where the RC drilling is happening, we'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.
Unfortunately, MPI Recruitment can only consider applicants with relevant qualifications and experience who are Australian Permanent Residents or hold valid working rights for Australia.
To be successful, you'll also need:
- Tertiary qualification in Geology
- Strong RC drill program experience
- Rare earths or critical mineral experience
- A proactive and organised approach to fieldwork
- Current manual driver's licence Experience with Surpac, Acquire, and Leapfrog will be highly regarded.
