About the Role

PYBAR is seeking experienced Raise Bore Drillers to join our growing Raise Bore Division. Working across a range of underground mining projects, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of raise bore equipment while maintaining the high standards of safety, teamwork and performance that PYBAR is known for. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, this is a full-time opportunity offered on a 2/2 or 2/1 roster, with day and night shift rotations. We offer point of hire from major airports across Australia, with flights, accommodation and meals provided

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate raise bore drilling equipment in line with site and company safety standards.
• Complete all stages of raise boring, including setup, pilot drilling, reaming, and project completion.
• Conduct pre-start inspections, equipment checks, and routine operator maintenance.
• Monitor drilling performance and report maintenance requirements as needed.
• Assist with the mobilisation, assembly, and commissioning of raise bore rigs.
• Maintain accurate operational records and complete required documentation.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
• Work as part of a team to achieve project targets while upholding PYBAR's values of Safety, Respect and Excellence.

About You / Requirements

• Previous Raise Bore Drilling experience
• Experience working on underground heavy mining equipment.
• Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-skilled team environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
