About the Role
Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support the successful delivery of a major power station project in Queensland. This is a key leadership role responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining the project's quality management systems across all phases of delivery. Working closely with project management, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams, you will ensure quality requirements are embedded throughout the project lifecycle and that all works are delivered in accordance with contractual, regulatory and client standards.
The position will initially be based in the project office before transitioning to site on a 2:1 roster during the execution phase.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role on a large-scale energy infrastructure project while contributing to the delivery of one of Australia's significant power generation developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation and management of the Project Quality Management Plan
- Establish and maintain quality systems, procedures and processes aligned with project and client requirements
- Oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities throughout engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases
- Manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation and project records
- Coordinate audits, surveillance activities and quality assessments across project work fronts
- Monitor contractor and supplier compliance with quality requirements and specifications
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support vendor inspections, material verification and quality acceptance processes
- Provide quality leadership and guidance to project teams, supervisors and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards, regulatory requirements and client expectations
- Prepare quality reporting, KPI tracking and project performance updates for senior management and client stakeholders
- Support construction readiness, turnover, handover and commissioning quality requirements
- Facilitate lessons learned and continuous improvement activities throughout project execution
- Promote a strong culture of quality, accountability and operational excellence
About You / Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in quality management roles within construction, energy, power generation, mining, oil & gas or major infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience as a Quality Manager, QA Manager or Senior Quality Advisor on large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001 requirements
- Experience managing quality requirements across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases
- Proven capability leading audits, quality inspections, NCR management and continuous improvement programs
- Experience managing subcontractor and vendor quality performance
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and quality compliance requirements
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong organisational, reporting and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to influence quality outcomes across diverse project teams
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or a related discipline
- Lead Auditor qualifications highly regarded
