An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer / Quality Coordinator to join the construction delivery team and take ownership of quality assurance across one or multiple projects. Reporting into the Project or Site Leadership team, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and improving the project quality management system, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, relevant standards and company procedures. This role suits someone who enjoys being site‑based, working closely with construction teams, trades and subcontractors to proactively drive quality outcomes from early works through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage the project Quality Management Plan (QMP) Coordinate ITPs, checklists, hold/witness points and inspection records Review subcontractor quality documentation and ensure compliance prior to works commencing Conduct site inspections and audits to confirm quality standards are met Identify defects and non‑conformances and work with site teams to close out issues Maintain accurate quality records, registers and close‑out documentation Support defect management, commissioning and final handover processes Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems and site processes
Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Coordinator or QA role within construction Background in commercial construction is ideal, however candidates with quality assurance experience from domestic and residential construction are strongly encouraged to apply Strong understanding of construction sequencing, workmanship standards and compliance requirements Experience working with ISO‑aligned quality systems and documentation Site‑focused, detail‑oriented and confident working with supervisors, engineers and subcontractors Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
