Monadelphous is seeking expressions of interest from experienced QA/QC Inspectors to join our Engineering Construction team across upcoming and ongoing projects throughout Western Australia. This is an opportunity to join a growing project pipeline and be considered for a range of major Oil & Gas, Resources and Infrastructure projects, with the potential for ongoing opportunities and redeployment across the business. Reporting to the Quality Lead, QA/QC Inspectors are responsible for supporting the implementation of project quality management systems, providing technical advice to project teams and ensuring construction activities meet client, project, statutory and industry requirements. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong welding, piping and coating inspection experience, who are available for FIFO opportunities on a 2:1 roster.

What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience in a QA/QC or Welding Inspector role within the resources, Oil & Gas, construction or related industries.
  • Welding inspection qualification such as WTIA, CSWIP or equivalent.
  • NACE Level 2 certification and experience in surface treatment/coating inspection.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, codes and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of AS/NZS ISO 9001 quality systems and processes.
  • Welding/fabrication trade, NDT background or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare quality reports, documentation and work instructions.
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a project team.
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Australian working rights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and quality control activities across piping systems, welding, structural steel and associated components.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welds and structural steelwork erection.
  • Utilise appropriate non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques to assess weld quality and identify defects or discontinuities.
  • Review welding procedures, documentation and associated quality records
  • Conduct material inspections, including verification of material certificates, identification and compliance with project specifications.
  • Identify, issue, follow up and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Field Discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare comprehensive quality reports.
  • Provide technical advice and support to construction and project teams.
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders regarding quality requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with QA/QC teams to drive continuous improvement and share best practice across projects.
