Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. Since 2005, we have grown to become one of the largest surface mines in Australia, whilst continuing to foster a culture underpinned by safety, achievement, flexibility and teamwork to improve the skills of each and every person on the mine site every day. About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Commercial Department team and reporting directly to the Supply Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

• Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and quality.
• Manage purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring timely procurement.
• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to drive efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Work closely with departments to understand purchasing needs and requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring procurement activities align with company policies, obligations, and relevant regulations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an open-cut coal mine
• Relevant experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Tertiary qualifications in Procurement/Supply Chain Management (desirable)
• Excellent safety mindset with the ability to positively influence the culture at Rolleston
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment
