Our client is a leading Australian EPC contractor specialising in high-voltage infrastructure, grid connections, and large-scale renewable energy projects. With a strong track record delivering utility-scale substations, BESS, and hybrid energy systems, they partner with Tier 1 asset owners and utilities to deliver complex, technically challenging projects across Australia. Your new role

As Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of high-voltage and renewable energy infrastructure projects, with a focus on substations, grid connections, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the full project lifecycle from design through to commissioning and handover
  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ensuring delivery against key metrics including safety, cost, time, and quality
  • Managing client relationships with utilities, developers, and investors
  • Overseeing procurement, contract management, and commercial performance
  • Driving risk management, compliance, and governance across all project phases
  • Supporting continuous improvement and innovation across delivery processes

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in electrical infrastructure or renewable energy projects.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience delivering HV substations, grid connections, or BESS projects
  • Strong understanding of the Australian utility and renewable energy market
  • Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and complex stakeholder environments
  • Solid commercial acumen, including budgeting and contract administration
  • Experience working within EPC organisations
  • Leadership capability to manage teams and drive delivery outcomes
  • Relevant engineering qualification (Electrical preferred)
