Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of cutting-edge heavy mining equipment projects in collaboration with international technology partners.
Roster: Monday-Friday (Perth) with some site travel required
Start date: Late July 2026
Duration: approx. 12 months - depending on client requirements
Pay Rate: $90 - $120 p/h + Super depending on experience
Please note that only people with relevant experience will be considered.
The Role
Reporting to the Major Projects team, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects from planning through to operational handover. Working closely with internal stakeholders and global equipment suppliers, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and ready for operational success.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Lead the delivery of complex mining projects from initiation through to completion.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk and reporting.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders across engineering, operations and external vendor partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, suppliers and contractors.
- Oversee contract administration and commercial performance.
- Support operational readiness, commissioning and project handover activities.
- Drive continuous improvement and proactive risk management throughout project delivery.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing complex mining or heavy industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects within mining, resources, energy or major infrastructure.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, operational and commercial teams.
- Experience managing major equipment suppliers, EPCM contractors or OEMs.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules and risk.
- Experience with commissioning, operational readiness or project handover.
- Qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) experience will be highly regarded.
