About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Electrical to support the delivery of major renewable energy projects across Australia. This role focuses on HV substations, solar, BESS, and electrical balance of plant (BOP), ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical engineering scope across design, construction, and commissioning
  • Coordinate multi-discipline design activities and manage technical interfaces
  • Support project planning, forecasting, and constructability reviews
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on technical matters
  • Develop ITPs and work packs and oversee installation and testing activities
  • Support commissioning teams and project handover
  • Monitor schedule, cost, and progress; manage scope changes and risks
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, client requirements, and safety standards
  • Assist with procurement and contract administration activities

About you

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in HV substations, power systems, or renewable energy projects
  • Strong understanding of design-for-construction and project delivery
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate across disciplines
  • Solid communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Australian PR or Citizenship
  • Willingness to work FIFO roster from any major city
